Course Description

Continue your paddling progression in this 2-day course focusing on solidifying skills and gaining experience on more difficult class-III water. Learn more advanced scouting skills, techniques for reading more challenging water, and boating skills for managing larger rapids. Canyon River Instruction is hosting this course where Tommy works on the Arkansas River. 

Canyon River Instruction also offers Private Kayak and Packraft Instruction on the Arkansas River with Tommy on select Thursdays throughout the summer.

Prerequisites

• 18-years of age or older or 16-years of age with adult accompaniment

• Boaters should be confidently paddling class-II

• Kayakers should be working towards or have a successful river roll

• Packrafters should have basic self-rescue skills, including methods of getting back into their craft after a swim

• Canyon River Instruction also offers Private Kayak Instruction with Tommy on select Thursdays throughout the summer
